Reading glasses are our specialty, and we want you to feel confident ordering from Debby Burk Optical. Your satisfaction matters to us, which is why we offer both a 30-Day Return Policy and our 45-Day Comfort Guarantee.
Want a refund? Your return must be postmarked or shipped within 30 days of delivery.
Need a different size, strength, fit or comfort solution? If you’re outside the 30-day refund window but still within 45 days of delivery, our Comfort Guarantee gives you the option of one complimentary exchange per order or store credit.
We recommend trying your glasses soon after they arrive, even if you don’t plan to wear them regularly right away. This gives you plenty of time to determine whether the fit and strength are right for you while you are still within the applicable return or Comfort Guarantee window.
30-Day Returns for a Refund
If you decide your glasses aren’t right for you, you may return them for a refund to your original payment method, minus any outbound shipping charges originally paid.
To qualify for a refund, your package must be postmarked or shipped no later than 30 days after the date your order was delivered.
Please note: contacting us or requesting a return within 30 days does not extend the refund window. The return itself must be placed in the mail or accepted by the carrier within 30 days of delivery.
- Original outbound shipping charges are not refundable on standard returns.
- Customers are responsible for return postage on standard 30-day returns.
- Items must be returned in original, unmodified condition.

Love the Fit — 45-Day Comfort Guarantee
Sometimes the glasses are almost right, but the size, strength, fit or comfort needs an adjustment. That’s exactly what our 45-Day Comfort Guarantee is designed to address.
If you are outside the 30-day refund window but still within 45 days of delivery, you may choose:
- One complimentary exchange per order to find a better size, strength, fit or comfort solution, or
- Store credit for the value of the eligible returned merchandise.
For a Comfort Guarantee exchange, Debby Burk Optical pays the return shipping and the shipping of your replacement pair.
If you choose store credit instead of an exchange, standard return shipping rules apply.
The Comfort Guarantee is intended to help when the glasses aren’t working for you because of their fit, comfort or strength. It is not intended as an extended refund period for a change of style, color or general preference.
To qualify, your Comfort Guarantee return must be postmarked or shipped no later than 45 days after delivery.
After Day 30, refunds to the original payment method are no longer available. From Days 31–45, your options are an eligible Comfort Guarantee exchange or store credit.
Defects or Order Mistakes
If an item is defective or we sent you the wrong item, please contact us before sending it back.
When the issue is a confirmed manufacturing defect or our mistake, we will provide a return shipping label and cover the appropriate return or replacement shipping costs.
Please do not purchase your own return postage for a defective or incorrect item unless we specifically instruct you to do so, as we may not be able to reimburse postage purchased independently.
Confirmed manufacturing defects are eligible for a refund, replacement, repair or remake as appropriate based on the nature of the issue.
If you believe your glasses contain a manufacturing defect, email us at support@debspecs.com so our team can review the issue and provide return instructions if needed.
Manufacturing defects are handled separately from the 45-Day Comfort Guarantee and do not count as your one complimentary Comfort Guarantee exchange.
Our warranties do not cover damage caused by neglect, misuse, accidents, improper care or unreasonable force — for example, glasses crushed in a glove compartment, temples bent beyond their structural limits, or glasses that became a chew toy for the family dog.

Exchanges
If your exchange qualifies under our 45-Day Comfort Guarantee, please contact us before returning your glasses so we can provide your prepaid return label and help determine the best replacement size, strength, fit or comfort solution.
The Comfort Guarantee includes one complimentary exchange per order, including return shipping and shipping of the replacement pair.
Re-Stocking Fee:
Premium optical lenses and frames: Due to the nature of the custom work involved with premium optical lenses and frames, eligible returns of those products are subject to a 15% restocking fee. All other eligible product returns do not incur a restocking fee.
