Standard Fit Reading Glasses

Standard Fit Reading Glasses for Balanced, Everyday Frame Proportions

Standard fit reading glasses are the middle of the sizing spectrum: frames built around proportions that work comfortably for many average-width faces. They're the right starting point when ordinary readers generally fit you well, without the temple squeeze of a frame that's too narrow or the sliding, oversized look of one that's too wide. Standard fit doesn't mean identical, though. Lens width, bridge shape, temple length, frame depth, and material still change how a pair sits, so reducing fit to one number can be misleading. This collection brings together standard width, regular-fit readers in our most common fit range across shapes, colors, strengths, and lens formats. If standard frames usually feel noticeably too tight or too loose, our dedicated Narrow Fit and XL collections serve either end of the width spectrum. Since 1996, Debby Burk Optical has helped people find reading glasses around real fit and vision needs, not "one size fits most."
